New Update - Deadly Dispute In Westchester: Suspect ID'd, Details Released

A suspect has been identified and new details have been released after a fatal stabbing in Northern Westchester.

The incident happened Saturday night, June 24 in Mount Kisco.

Both the victim and the victim resided at 305 Lexington Ave. and were known to each other, Westchester County Police said, adding that the incident occurred inside that address.

The suspect, Oscar Morales, age 41, was arrested Sunday, June 25 following an investigation by patrol officers and detectives from the WCPD General Investigations Unit assigned to the Mount Kisco precinct. 

According to witnesses, Morales and the victim had an argument that turned into a physical altercation, and Morales allegedly used a knife to stab the victim, Westchester County Police said. 

Morales was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Mount Kisco Precinct.

He has been charged with first-degree manslaughter.

Morales was arraigned and remanded without bail to the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla.

Officers rendered first aid until the victim was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital Center. The victim was pronounced dead at 12:18 a.m. Sunday.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending confirmation of his identity.
